In addition to picking a good brand name, it’s important to consider the machine as well. Has it been maintained thoroughly? Does it appear to be in good working condition? What repairs will be required in the short term to keep it going?

Getting your hands on the previous owners maintenance log, or at the very least, receipts from of when previous work was done, is a prudent step. It may teach you a thing or two, about bulldozer maintenance, and reveal something about the previous owner.

Don’t dismiss the idea of buying a bulldozer over the internet, just because it seems a little unorthodox. There are plenty more bulldozers for sale online, then you’ll find within your home town, or circle of friends and business contacts. Online, your more likely to find better prices, and a larger selection of dozers to choose from.
